Europe

Technorati conducted a survey involving 50 countries, 26% of bloggers are from Europe.
The types of blogs which are popular differs from one state to another, for example, Milton Keynes is popular for business blogs. Moreover, there are seasonal blogs. During football season, footie blogs are extremely popular in Manchester and Liverpool, Clapperton (2007).

“State of the blogosphere is strong,” Richard Jalichandra said, (Technorati, 2009, pg.1 of 2). It has evolved into professional and business blogging. Bloggers are now more prolific and influencial. Social media, like Twitter is the most important trend influencing blogosphere.

Arianna Huffington, (Day 2) (Technorati, 2009, pg. 1 of 2) states that bloggers experience “positive impacts” on their personal lives, career and business. 70% of respondents said they are better known in their industry because of the blog.

Dean Takahashi, (Technorati, 2009, pg.1) mentioned that the impact in Blogosphere is immediate and noticeable especially in politics and business.

Blogosphere leads to globalisation of freedom and speech, Fred Wilson said, Day 5 (Technorati, 2009, pg.2 of 2). People are more informed, more tolerant and society has become more democratic. Blogosphere will be borderless across the world and beyond the reach of government.
